Senior Engineer Process Engineering / Piping Design (m/f/d)
Design and layout of plants for technical gases
At INP Deutschland, you will take on responsibility as a Senior Engineer Process Engineering / Piping Design (m/f/d) for the design and layout of complex plants in the field of technical gases.
You will oversee projects from the concept stage through basic and detail engineering, ensuring smooth coordination between process engineering, piping design, and related disciplines.
With your experience, you evaluate and optimize technical concepts, define engineering standards, and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues.
Together with our partners, you develop solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability – turning concepts into fully functional plants.
Your tasks

Independent execution of basic and detail engineering for the integration of plant components and piping systems, with a focus on technical gas installations (e.g. hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen)

Specification, development, and maintenance of piping classes, including documentation and compliance with relevant technical standards

Technical leadership in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, supplier quotations, and customer specifications

Preparation and maintenance of process flow diagrams (PFD/P&ID), general arrangement drawings (GA), isometrics, and installation drawings

Coordination of technical interfaces with project partners, customers, suppliers, and internal departments; ensuring technical integrity and quality of engineering deliverables

Mentoring and supporting junior engineers, promoting engineering standards and best practices within the project team
Your qualifications

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. / Master / Bachelor) in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline

At least 8–10 years of professional experience in plant and piping design within the field of technical gases or similar industries

Proven experience in the creation and maintenance of piping classes as well as in the specification of equipment and piping components

Sound knowledge of applicable standards and codes (e.g. DIN, EN, ASME, API) and their practical implementation in plant design

Confident use of CAD/CAE systems such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, E3D, or comparable tools

Excellent command of German and good command of English, both written and spoken

Strong communication skills, team orientation, and a structured, self-reliant approach to work
