At INP Deutschland, you will take on technical responsibility as a Senior Engineer Process Engineering / Piping Design (m/f/d) for the design and layout of complex plants in the field of technical gases.
You will manage and oversee engineering activities across all project phases – from concept development through basic to detail engineering – ensuring technical quality and consistent implementation across all interfaces.

Based on your extensive experience, you evaluate, structure, and optimize technical concepts, define engineering standards, and act as a technical point of reference within the project teams.
Together with internal departments and external partners, you develop robust, safe, and sustainable solutions, ensuring that concepts are translated into economically and technically sound plant designs.

Your tasks

  • Technical responsibility for basic and detail engineering related to the integration of plant components and piping systems, with a focus on technical gases (e.g. hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen)

  • Definition, further development, and maintenance of piping classes (pipework classes) including technical documentation and applicable standards

  • Technical leadership and coordination of engineering concepts: preparation, review, and evaluation of tender documents as well as supplier and customer quotations

  • Creation, review, and approval of PFDs/P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and piping and installation drawings

  • Technical interface responsibility towards customers, suppliers, project partners, and internal departments, ensuring quality and consistency of all engineering deliverables

  • Mentoring and technical support for engineers, as well as active promotion of engineering standards and best practices

Your qualifications

  • University degree (Dipl.-Ing. / Master / Bachelor) in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline

  • At least 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in plant and piping design, preferably in the field of technical gases or comparable industries

  • Proven expertise in the creation and application of piping classes (pipework classes) as well as in the specification of plant and piping components

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards in plant and piping engineering (e.g. DIN, EN, ASME, API) and their confident practical application

  • Confident use of CAD/CAE systems such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, E3D, or comparable tools

  • Excellent command of German and good command of English, both written and spoken

  • Strong communication skills, a structured working style, and a high level of personal responsibility
