Commissioning Engineer for IT Network Communication and IT Security in HVDC Projects (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Implementation of network solutions and IT security concepts within HVDC (High-Voltage Direct Current) control systems
• Coordination and adaptation of technical concepts in cooperation with control engineering experts
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Practical implementation of national and international security standards
• Problem analysis and modifications within IT networks
• Functional testing of operational and information technology (OT/IT) communication interfaces within power distribution subsystems
• Select offshore positions available

Your qualifications

• Knowledge of communication components (switches, routers, firewalls, servers, industrial bus systems)
• Experience with system protocols and system logs (e.g. PROFINET, Modbus)
• Familiarity with national and international security standards (e.g. BDE whitepapers, NERC-CIP, etc.)
• Configuration of deployed components (Cisco, Ruggedcom, Check Point, etc.)
• Understanding of network and redundancy protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 62443, PRP, RSTP, etc.)
• IT Security expertise (e.g. EC-Council Certified Network Defender - CND)
• Good command of English, both written and spoken 
• German language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel
• Some positions require offshore experience
